Love it or hate it, CAPPS is an integral part of every state employee’s life, but it wasn’t always the effective tool it is today. TJJD was one of the first agencies to implement CAPPS, and TJJD’s Sheree Case has worked with the system from the beginning.

Over the years, she has developed a thorough understanding of its capabilities and how to leverage them to increase efficiency across the agency. Sheree has also played a key role in bringing additional modules online including Warehouse and Travel and in redesigning workflows to enhance fiscal management and overall effectiveness. In fact, when other state agencies or even the Comptroller’s office had questions about CAPPS, Sheree was one of the first people they reached out to for help.

Now, her CAPPS expertise and leadership is being utilized on a statewide steering committee. Sheree said, “being selected to serve on the CAPPS Steering Committee is both an honor and a responsibility – a call to help shape direction and ensure that decisions reflect a shared vision and purpose for all users of CAPPS.”

We are very excited for Sheree to bring her experience and expertise to the statewide governance board, ultimately helping the State of Texas optimize efficiency and effectiveness for all agencies and employees.
