By TJJD Communications —
On Wednesday, April 16 more than 100 juvenile justice professionals from across Texas gathered at the Capitol to be recognized by members of the House and Senate for their commitment to serving youth across our state.
Special thanks to Sen. Charles Perry and Rep. David Cook for authoring resolutions that honor the tireless work of these public servants.
Leaders of Texas’ juvenile justice system were recognized on the House floor:
- TJJD Board Chairman Manny Ramirez
- TJJD Board Member Shawn Thierry
- TJJD Executive Director Shandra Carter
- Dallas County Juvenile Probation Chief and Advisory Council Chairman Lynn Hadnot
- Lubbock County Juvenile Probation Chief William Carter
- TJJD Deputy Director of State Operations Bill Parks
Thank you to all the leaders in this field who joined us to dutifully exemplify the heart of our mission: keeping communities safe and supporting Texas’ most vulnerable youth.
