Program Description
Please join us this summer for TJJD's Post-Legislative Conference. The conference will provide an overview of important legislation passed during the 85th Legislative Session, including legislation specifically affecting those in juvenile justice.

This conference will be approved for 9.00 hrs of training credit from TJJD for juvenile probation and supervision officers. The Texas Juvenile Justice Department will be requesting continuing education credits from the following agencies, organizations or associations for approximately 9.00 hours (no ethics): State Bar of Texas, Texas Association of Counties and TCOLE. The early registration fee for the conference is $150.00. After July 10, the late registration fee will be $175.00. All persons registering will receive a confirmation email. Please send a copy of the confirmation along with your check payable to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department to:

No purchase orders, vouchers or credit cards will be accepted.

Each registered, paid participant will receive conference materials. If you are interested in purchasing additional copies of the course materials or cannot attend the conference, course materials are available for purchase by filling out the appropriate information when you register. The cost of materials is $75 per set and will be mailed within two weeks after the conclusion of the conference.

If you register but cannot attend and would like a refund, forward your confirmation email and refund request by July 10, 2017 to Monique Mendoza at No refunds will be provided without written notification by the deadline. Substitutions may be made at any time by contacting the conference coordinator. Refunds will not be granted for no shows; however, course materials will be mailed within one week after the conclusion of the conference.


The Budget Workshop will be held at the Omni Southpark, located at located at 4140 Governors Row, Austin, TX 78744. The discount room rate is $141.00 for Single and Doubles.
