Juvenile Correctional Officer (JCO) I - IV Career Ladder

You can jump-start your juvenile justice career in the JCO I - IV career ladder if you have 60 hours of college credit, an Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree, military service, or a TCOLE (previously known as TCLEOSE) license!  

Your prior JCO experience with the TJJD or the Texas Youth Commission or other career-related juvenile justice experience is important and may count toward placement in the JCO I – IV career ladder!
