***Inclement Weather Alert***

Non-essential staff at the Ron Jackson Juvenile Correctional Complex and the Brownwood Halfway House will report at 10:00a.m. March 5, 2015 due to inclement weather.

All non-essential staff are excused from work all day March 5, 2015 at Gainesville State School, McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, McLennan Residential Treatment Center, Cottrell House, Willoughby House and McFadden Ranch.

Due to inclement weather in central Texas, the Austin Office will delay opening until 10:00am. March 5, 2015. Check the weather line and/or website for updated information prior to traveling.

The Dallas and Fort Worth District Offices will be closed March 5, 2015 due to inclement weather.

About TJJD

Pursuant to Senate Bill 653 passed by the 82nd Texas Legislature and signed by the Governor, the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) was created on December 1, 2011 and the existing Texas Juvenile Probation Commission (TJPC) and Texas Youth Commission (TYC) were abolished. On December 1, 2011, operations of both TJPC and TYC were transferred to the new TJJD and all references to TJPC and TYC were changed to the new name. On behalf of TJJD, welcome to our new website.
